I sometimes am called upon to offer litigation support consulting as an expert witness in cases involving computer software, software engineering, operating
systems,computer security, and related cases.

Litigation Support Experience
- Throughout 2005 I worked on multiple patents involved in AVG vs. Microsoft on behalf of the firm of McKool Smith.This involved careful analysis of over 9 gigabytes of complex source code. My involvement spanned 3 patents, working as the primary (testifying) expert for one patent, and consulting/research work on the other two.
- Early in 2006 I worked on Harrison vs. Comtech Solutions Worldwide inc. on behalf of the firm of Winthrop & Weinstine. This case involved copyright infringement allegations.
- In the spring of 2006 I worked on The Weidt Group vs. Cold Spring Granite company Software dispute on behalf of the firm of Winthrop & Weinstine.
- In late 2006 I worked with pre trial investigations relating to alleged computer crime incidents for Ogles Law Firm.
- In 2007 I worked on the in the Countryman vs. NextMedia inc. case on behalf of the firm Siebman, Reynolds, Burg, & Phillips.
- In late 2007 through the summer 2008, I worked on the Virnetx vs. Microsoft case on behalf of the firm of McDermott, Will, and Emery,
- I do occaisional pro bono work helpling local police departments analyze computer related evidence.

Along with experience in litigation support, I have over 15 years of experience in the IT profession, ranging from software engineering to upper management. I am the author of 10 computer science related books, and hold most of the major computer industry certifications (MCP, MCT, MCSE, MCAD, MCDBA, etc.). I have worked as a subject matter expert for CompTIA in the creation and revision of four of their certification tests (Server+, Linux+, Security+, and CTT+). I have also been named to Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in America, and Who's Who in American Education. I have also been a guest speaker at many locations including Harvard Computer Society and the ACM Chapter at Columbia University. I also still do adjunct teaching of computer science courses.
