University Degrees

  • B.A. Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Major Communications with Minors in Chemistry and Psychology. Extensive coursework in science (chemistry, physics, and biology) as well as neuroscience (neurobiology of memory, cognitive science, etc.). Also, additional coursework in computer science including programming and database courses. While attending he was named to the National Dean's List.
  • M.Ed. Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Coursework included technology related courses such as digital video editing, multimedia presentations, and computer graphics. A statistics course was also part of the coursework. While attending he was named to Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities.
  • M.B.A. in Applied Computer Science Northcentral University. Extensive course work in graduate computer science including graduate courses in: C++ programming, C# programming, Computer Graphics, Web Programming, Network communication, Complex Database Management Systems, and Artificial Intelligence. Additionally, a doctoral level statistics course was included. A research project in medical software was also part of the curriculum.
  • MSSE Master of Science in Systems Engineering. University of Texas at El Paso. The coursework includes studies in system requirements; system integration, verification, and validation; system architecture and design; and systems modeling & simulation. While attending he was named to the Phi Kappa Phi honor society and the Gold Key honor society.
  • D.Sc. Doctor of Science in Cyber security Capitol Technology University. Dissertation topic was "A Comparative Study Of Lattice Based Algorithms For Post Quantum Computing".
  • Ph.D. Doctor of Philosophy in Technology. Capitol Technology University. Dissertation topic "The Effects of Complexity on Carbon Nanotube Failures".
  • Ph.D. Doctor of Philosophy in computing from University of Portsmouth in England.  Dissertation topic: "Systematic Framework for Network Forensics Based on Graph Theory".

    Academic Work

    Dr. Easttom has taught college courses, corporate training, as well as courses for various government agencies and friendly foreign governments.  In 2019 he was a Professor of Practice at Capitol Technology University teaching graduate courses and chairing various doctoral dissertation committees as well as Director of the Quantum Computing and Cryptography Research Lab at Capitol Technology University.

    He is currently an adjunct professor teaching graduate digital forensics courses for the University of Dallas.
    He is also an adjunct lecturer for Georgetown University teaching graduate cyber security courses in their Master of Professional Studies in Applied Intelligence program.

    He frequently assists and consults with various universities assisting in developing curriculum in cyber security, digital forensics, computer science, and related topics.

    He is also active in scientific and engineering conferences. Examples include:
    1. At the 2018 Annual IEEE 8th Annual Computing and Communication Conference at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas, he chaired a session on Artificial Intelligence, and another session on Computer Architecture and VLSI.
    2. At the 2019 Annual IEEE 9th Annual Computing and Communication Conference he was a keynote speaker presenting a talk on "The impact of complexity and emergent properties on engineering". He also chaired a session on "IOT, Robotics and Machine Vision" as well as a session on "Mobile and Wireless Communication, Network".
    3. On the technical committee for "Wireless & Sensor Networks & Cybersecurity; Mobile Computing and Security" IEEE IEMCON 2019 Conference.
